J. ERIC NEWENDORP

Eric's award-winning career has spanned more than 25 years in the sport and entertainment industries, truly having “done it all” in terms of having real working knowledge and experience in every responsibility and function in the business.
He's had the privilege to work for organizations in Major League Soccer, the Canadian Premier League, the North American Soccer League, Texas League Baseball, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), NCAA Division I football and basketball, in the Central Hockey League, NBA G-League, and the Mid-America Baseball League, as well as other professional, collegiate and amateur sports organizations and events including golf, tennis and youth basketball and volleyball. He has helped start up or re-brand several professional sports teams and organizations and has helped open several new or renovated multi-purpose stadiums and arenas.
Eric's areas of expertise include, but are not limited to C-Suite-level executive management, business development, corporate sponsorship and partnership sales and service, marketing, public, media and community relations, membership sales, tickets sales and service including premium and luxury products, hospitality sales, facility lease and contract negotiations, multi-million dollar budget creation and management, staff hiring, training and development, facility management and operations, and event operations.
Eric has also served as a college professor since 2013 teaching several courses in sport management and marketing, communications, ethics and leadership, organizational theory and legal aspects of sport administration, and finance in the sport industry at the University of Tulsa, Rogers State University, Southern Nazarene University, and Northeastern State University.
His community work includes having served as board president and board member for the Arc of Oklahoma - a non-profit organization specializing in advocacy and programming for people living with intellectual and physical disabilities and their families. He has also volunteered for the Salvation Army, the John 316 Mission, Not Your Average Joe Coffee, and the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa - the latter for which he was recognized as their Buddy of the Year award recipient. He also previously coached and managed a TOPS Soccer team for kids with various intellectual and physical disabilities.
Eric grew up in Moore, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Letters. He also hold a Master’s of Science degree in Sport Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
