Be Careful What You Ask For

Well, now the real work begins. It's one thing to plan a couple of parties and spend some money on logo design, t-shirts, food, and drinks. It's entirely another thing to persuade people to hire you for service! It is time to "hit the pavement"...make some calls, be visible, network, get some discovery meetings, attend local events, make ourselves known! Our launch parties were fun. I am so thankful and appreciative to have such a great group of friends and colleagues - those that came to the parties and even those that didn't. It makes me feel loved and cared for, and I know I am. It makes me feel good. But to make this little company survive and thrive and maintain a long life, I/we have to bring in new friends and supporters, in the form of paying customers, ones that value our services and turn to us time and again. We must deliver on our promises, whether we make a buck or not. So, as Andy Partridge exclaims at the beginning the great XTC song "The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead"..."Let's begin!"
